Here at Set.fm we’ve been hard at work and today, we’re finally ready to peel off that beta label and launch Set.fm to the world. We’re also incredibly excited to announce the official launch of the Set.fm app for fans.
During the past 8 months, Set.fm has recorded over 300 sets with more than 200 independent artists. Thanks to the valuable feedback of those artists, our desktop and iOS recording software offer a simple way for musicians to instantly capture, promote, and sell recordings of their live performances.
Here’s what’s new:
Set.fm Studio– iOS Recording App and Desktop recording plugin for painless DIY recording and instant publishing of content
Set.fm (app) – iOS app for fans to discover and share with social interaction features
Set.fm (website) – Enhanced artist dashboard for performance management and reporting
Our artist roster is growing like crazy, with independent artists all over the country signing up to use Set.fm. We’re racking up the miles and have already recorded at over 50 different venues around the country! Joseph Arthur used Set.fm on his latest tour and captured a guest appearance by Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament during his performance at the Triple Door in Seattle. Set.fm had a presence at Texas Bat Fest and recorded several of the bands performing including Austin’s own Quiet Company and The Olm’s featuring Pete Yorn and JD King. And mid-September, we’ll be working with Grammy Award winning artist Jake Shimabukuro on his upcoming tour.
As music lovers, we don’t think there’s anything quite like a live show. We know that every show is a unique experience and with Set.fm, music fans can relive that experience while supporting the musicians they love. We look forward to building out social features that will enhance the relationship between artists and fans and continuing to perfect Set.fm Studio for artists.
